Claire Ridley MA, BA (Hons) ACR is the proprietor of Belgrave Conservation, based at Welbeck Abbey (Harley Foundation Studios) in Nottinghamshire, but serves the whole of the UK.

 

Belgrave Conservation is a practice specialising in frames, furniture, gilding and decorative surfaces.

 

Services include the conservation and restoration of gilded, painted and decorative surfaces on all materials, specifically furniture, picture frames and gilded mirrors, architectural works, wood carvings and wooden artefacts as well as objects of cultural heritage as found in museum collections.  

 

Projects are undertaken in a clean, fully equipped and secure purpose built studio. Belgrave Conservation can also work on-site and provide conservation consultancy, condition surveys and advice on environmental conditions.  Belgrave Conservation offers the services of highly skilled professionals, including traditional woodcarving, cabinet making and upholstering.

 

The practice serves museums and art galleries in the UK and overseas, the National Trust stately homes and historic houses, churches, private individuals, auction houses and dealers.
